The Maize Trade project capitalizes on long-term multi-cycle trading of maize across Bangladesh’s agricultural supply chain. Maize is a crucial raw material in poultry feed, starch production, and livestock industries, ensuring consistent demand throughout the year. WeGro procures maize in bulk from farmers and traders, stores it strategically, and sells it during peak demand periods based on market behavior.

Over the 18-month period, WeGro runs six trading cycles, each lasting 3 months. The trading team tracks market prices across regions and optimizes sale timing. All procurement, storage quality checks, stock logs, and selling records are entered into WeGro’s internal system. Investors receive 6 installments that reflect returns from each 3-month trading cycle.
