The Maize Farming project supports the cultivation of hybrid maize, one of the fastest-growing and most commercially valuable crops in Bangladesh due to its demand in poultry, industrial feed, and food processing sectors. WeGro provides farmers with high-quality hybrid seeds, fertilizers, bio-fertilizers, and pest management inputs to ensure strong germination and high cob weight. By supplying inputs directly instead of giving cash, WeGro maintains full control over the farming process and ensures adherence to best agronomic practices.

Over the 6-month cultivation cycle, WeGro Field Officers (FOs) monitor crucial growth stages—germination, vegetative growth, tasseling, pollination, and grain filling. Weekly reports are uploaded into WeGro’s monitoring system, enabling early identification of any nutrient deficiency, irrigation issues, or pest attacks. The project generates returns every 2 months, making it ideal for investors seeking recurring income. With structured supervision and contract buyers, maize farming delivers stable performance across multiple regions.
